Now let’s start with the topic – How to Organize Your Social Media Posting Process

As social media has taken the world by storm, brands everywhere are continuing to put more time and effort into creating a solid social media presence and strategy. Whether you are trying to increase engagement on your Facebook page, an agency juggling multiple clients’ accounts, or you’re just trying to figure out what in the world Instagram Reels are, keeping up with the ever-changing social media landscape can be overwhelming. If your team is stressing about staying on top of all things social, implement the following tips on how to organize your social media posting process.

1. Plan Ahead

The first step in optimizing your social media posting process is to start early and plan ahead. Creating a solid social calendar ahead of time will help ensure your brand is posting often enough and leaves plenty of room for any edits or last-minute changes. If you are an agency working with a client, it leaves time for client approval, as well. A general rule of thumb is to have your social media calendar created at least one month in advance to stay organized. Don’t worry though, calendars can always be edited and adjusted if your brand wants to reflect current events or social media trends, like these brands who hopped on the Bernie Sanders Inauguration meme while it was big. Planning ahead gives you that wiggle room to stay current while still keeping your social content organized and consistent.

2. ‘Tis the Season

While planning your social media content in advance, it is important to keep in mind the month you are planning for and its seasonality. You must factor the big holidays in and decide if your brand wants to have a holiday-related post, or if you want to stay quiet that day. Some organizations opt to use smaller holidays, like National Pizza Day, to make fun, punchy content that aligns with their brand. Be sure to factor in your brand’s sales and seasonal specials, as well! For more tips on how to develop solid creative content, check out this blog post from Sparxoo Digital Marketing.

3. One Month at a Time

To keep your social media planning consistent, it is recommended to plan a month’s worth of content at a time. This will make sure the posts are cohesive and consistent with the current campaign you are running. It will also help the content creator to plan the month all at once, which can be scheduled as a project in a project management software like CROOW. This will hold everyone involved accountable for being consistent with social media posting. A great tip for keeping posts organized is to make a slide deck with all the posts for the month in it together before scheduling them.

4. Secure a Scheduling Software

Using a social media scheduling tool is essential in staying organized. It will help make sure that no posts slip through the cracks or are forgotten to be posted. This is especially helpful for content you want scheduled outside of normal working hours. Some social media scheduling tools include HubSpot, Hootsuite, and Sprout Social. These platforms allow you to post to multiple social media platforms and schedule the date and time for the content to go live. They typically have social media analytics tools to track post performance, as well.

By implementing these tips, you’ll get your social strategy organized and intentional, and stand out among your competitors.
