Blog No. 75 – An Accidental Tribute: How a Pop-Up Proved a Mentor’s Lasting Impact

I had just closed the laptop on a career-high moment when my past decided to tap me on the shoulder. Life has a funny way of connecting dots.

I recently got a positive feedback on a key presentation. Minutes later, a gallery notification pops up: a photo from over 10 years ago of me receiving an award from my boss at Accenture, Uday Sanghani.

This is the picture I was reminded of – thanks to the memories feature!

The irony isn’t lost on me. I was not a natural at presentations back then. It was through working with Uday Sanghani – observing his rigor, absorbing his feedback (and there was a lot of it ๐Ÿ˜…) that I built a fundamental career skill.

A decade later, his influence is still evident in my work. This is a heartfelt thank you to you, Uday Sanghani, for the investment. It has paid dividends across my career ever since.

It makes me think: the seeds of our biggest strengths are often planted by others in what seem like everyday moments. Acknowledge those moments ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Audio of the week. I am completely obsessed with this title. The narrator is fantastic, and the story is incredibly immersive. It is one of those rare audiobooks that actually makes you sad when it ends. You can find it on Amazon right here. (Full disclosure: As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.)
